I’m In!!!

I officially got accepted into the Málaga, Spain program today! I have been anxiously awaiting my email. Ask anyone. I checked my email about fifty times a day just to see if I had received anything. My advice? Just don’t do that. For anyone who is planning on studying abroad, you’ve sent in your paperwork and you’re waiting to hear back, the worst thing you can do is to make yourself crazy over it. The one time I stepped away from the computer and didn’t think about it is when I got the email.

The paperwork seems to be the most daunting part of getting into the program. I have been very fortunate to have a lot of help from my advisors. These people are your new best friends. Keep in contact with them and the place that you applied to. Believe me, it seems like it all is too much and won’t get done, but honestly it is to be expected. After all, I am studying in a foreign country. A lot of breathing and patience goes a long way.

I signed into the Student Portal through ISA and there are a lot of forms to fill out. In the end it will be worth it once I am there. I clearly want to have everything done now and that’s not realistic;however, I did get a lot done as of tonight. It makes the process seem less scary.

It’s starting to seem real after all. The countdown begins!
